Over the past year, Tecplot has been working on a new graphics engine to achieve faster performance, increase memory efficiency, and leverage modern rendering techniques. Therefore, we’re excited to announce that Tecplot 360 and FieldView will be the first CAE applications to leverage the power of Vulkan for optimized graphics performance.
In this webinar, we give a technology preview of the new graphics engine for both Tecplot 360 and FieldView, and we answer the following questions:
- What is Vulkan and why should you care about your CAE tools leveraging this new technology?
- How much faster will the new Tecplot 360 and FieldView be?
- How easy is it to render realistic materials with PBR (Physically Based Rendering)?
Webinar Agenda:

Graphics Engine Technology Preview
The technology previews are available now! Head over to our customer portal where you can download the Tecplot 360 and FieldView graphics technology previews.
You should experience several times faster graphics than with any prior Tecplot 360 and FieldView version, particularly when:
- Rendering large datasets and surfaces with high face counts
- Displaying a lot of vectors, scatter symbols or particles
- Using translucency or transparency
To learn more about the improvements, requirements, and limitations visit the portal below. Finally, your feedback is invaluable as we work to perfect the final release later this year. Please consider sending your feedback to support@tecplot.com.
