Tecplot supports desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, CentOS, RedHat, Rocky Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, and Ubuntu) which are under standard maintenance by their manufacturer and are available at the time of the release of a Tecplot product. If Tecplot software encounters an issue on an operating system which is unsupported, you may be required to update your operating system and Tecplot version to receive support. Tecplot products may work on other operating systems, but we cannot provide support on other operating systems.

Not all Tecplot software is available on all operating systems. Refer to the installation guide for each software for additional details.

Windows 10 & 11

Tecplot supports Windows 10 & 11 versions which are supported by Microsoft. Windows 10 end-of-life date is October 14th, 2025. Tecplot software released after that date will not support Windows 10.

RedHat/Rocky/CentOS

RedHat, Rocky Linux, and CentOS all derive from the same Linux kernel, therefore Tecplot supports all three of these operating systems. Testing is performed on CentOS and Rocky Linux.

RedHat

Tecplot supports RedHat 8 & 9 as defined by the chart below. Tecplot does not support minor releases which extend into the Extended Update Support phase and beyond. That said, it’s likely that Tecplot products will work on minor releases which are out of support. See: https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/errata

Rocky Linux

Tecplot supports Rocky Linux 8 & 9 as defined by the image below. Tecplot does not support minor releases which have reached end-of-life. That said, it’s likely that Tecplot products will work on older minor releases. For up-to-date information, see: https://wiki.rockylinux.org/rocky/version/

CentOS

CentOS 7 support ended June 30th, 2024. Tecplot software released after this date will not be supported on CentOS 7. https://www.redhat.com/en/topics/linux/centos-linux-eol

SUSE Linux

Tecplot currently supports SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 15
