Tecplot RS 2026 R1
Release Date: August 13, 2026
Tecplot RS 2026 R1 modernizes reservoir visualization with a new Vulkan-based graphics engine while adding new capabilities that make it easier to explore, compare, and communicate simulation results.
With Multi-Frame support for RFT plots, improved Quick Plot formatting, and faster, more responsive visualization, this release helps reservoir engineers spend less time managing plots and more time understanding their data.
Vulkan Rendering Technology
A new Vulkan-based graphics engine delivers faster rendering, smoother interaction, and improved visual quality, particularly when working with large datasets and complex scenes. It also establishes a modern graphics foundation for future Tecplot RS enhancements.

Multi-Frame RFT
RFT plots now support Multi-Frame mode, allowing users to display multiple RFT views simultaneously for easier comparison and analysis. This enhancement makes it easier to compare wells, timesteps, datasets, or variables side by side, improving workflows for reservoir evaluation and interpretation.

Configurable Transparency Levels
Transparency controls have been enhanced to provide adjustable transparency levels. Rather than simply enabling or disabling transparency, users can now fine-tune the transparency amount to improve visualization of overlapping grid cells, wells, and other 3D objects.

Enhanced Quick Plot Formatting
Quick Plot visualizations now provide additional formatting options, allowing users to customize fonts and presentation settings for improved readability when extracting and reviewing data.

More Improvements in Tecplot RS 2026 R1
Tecplot RS 2026 R1 also includes additional workflow enhancements, data support improvements, bug fixes, and stability updates.
